LOVE ‘N’ COURAGE 2020
Theater for the New City’s 17th annual “Love ‘n’ Courage” benefit took place Feb. 24, 2020 at the Players Club in Manhattan. As usual, the event featured a performance by the Yip Harburg Lyric Foundation’s Rainbow Troupe with singers Jennifer Babiak, Eric Poindexter and Ben Harburg, with David Gaines at piano. Deena Harburg, Executive and Artistic Director of the Yip Harburg Lyrics Foundation, conceived and produced the concert.
YIP HARBURG TRIBUTE AT 92ND ST. Y, jAN. 2020
The 92nd Street Y in New York City will host Follow the Fellow Who Follows a Dream, a tribute to Yip Harburg, on Jan. 25, 26th and 27th, 2020 to launch a series of 50th anniversary concerts in celebration of the “Lyrics and Lyricists” series which Yip launched in 1970.

“OVER THE RAINBOW” in oscar-winning new film
“Over the Rainbow” by Yip Harburg and Harold Arlen from The Wizard of Oz (1939) is featured in the motion picture, Judy, starring Renee Zellwegger who won the Beat Actress Oscar of 2019 for her performance as Judy Garland, the beloved star who introduced the classic song. Zellwegger sings part of the song in this trailer.
