The Marx Brothers were, of course, a real outstanding bit of Americana. I think they were a zany, wonderful, great Alice-in-Wonderland group of people, that did things that took you really out of the world and made you laugh. Groucho still retains that great sense of comedy. I knew Groucho. He’s a very bright man, an intelligent man, an intellectual man, a man with deep feelings for good things who puts on a big act. Of course, the act now has overpowered the man, so that he has become a victim of the act, you see. But he has facets.
