On the lyric for “It’s Only a Paper Moon” –

It’s my philosophical outlook. Shakespeare said it in a different way: “All the world’s a stage” and we’re poor actors who strut and fret an hour upon it. Life is a temporary thing, a short cruise—but if there’s love in it, that makes the short cruise worth taking. I don’t mean love in the small sense, I mean love for everybody, for your fellow man. That makes it fun and worthwhile and I wouldn’t miss it for anything.
